The Voice Of Forgiveness

I bravely draw inwards.
And deep within the circle
Of my own wholeness
Forgiveness slowly arises.

Mercy seldom speaks.
But when I do declare myself,
It is with unrivalled power and dignity.

The words slice through darkness
With a smooth blade of precision.
Holding no remembrance
Of past wrongs,
Nor courting distrust
With future misgivings.

My voice of forgiveness
Decisive and strong,
Cuts a line across the past
And graciously
Follows a different a path.
