Trapped

That sneer of sarcasm,
A habit refined over the years,
Harpooned and startled me.
Immobilising me in a flash.

You nailed a half-truth.
Whilst exaggerating it wildly.
Exposing all I had tried to do,
With razor-sharp inaccuracy.

With no voice left, I shrunk inwards.
Diminished and wanting to hide,
You trapped me into a lonely exile.
With nowhere left to go.
